Classroom Update

Over the weekend, please support your child to find and bring in a rock that is found around your home while on a walk in your community.  Please have your rock to school by Wednesday October 27th. We have read the story Everybody Needs A Rock by Byrd Baylor.  Your child may pick a rock that is small or big, smooth or bumpy, because of a certain shape or colour or simply where it was found. It is entirely up to the child.  I do ask that the rock be no larger than the palm of your child's hand.  We will be decorating the rock with acrylic felts.  The rock is part of our study about the ways and traditions of First Nation People and will become a symbol of each one of us belonging to our classroom community.

We look forward to sharing our rocks with you.
