October 4th-8th Classroom Updates
We have spent some time learning about the significance and the importance behind Orange Shirt Day-National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We learned how orange shirt day was started by a lady named Phyllis Webstand. She wants to educate people about residential schools and send the message that Every Child Matters on Orange Shirt Day and every day. It is important that we all do our part to fight racism and treat everyone with respect and dignity. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation recognizes the survivors of the residential school system, their families and communities.
We are true artists in room 21 and we love to sketch!!!
There is no school this Friday for students. Enjoy your long weekend and your Thanksgiving Celebrations if you take part.
